Occupation: Navy - Someone important
A bit about Andy: Andy joined HMS Sultan and lurked backstage for a while, helping Helen our long-serving props lady, until the lure of the bright lights tempted him on stage. Helen and Andy did find love in the props closet however and they married in 2008. Andy left Sultan after his last Panto in 2006, having been posted to Bath on a very important and top secret Naval mission. He's due back in 2012 though so - fingers crossed - we may see him on stage once again. Andy enjoys a really good coffee, chilling abroad and is a bit of a photography and photoshop whizz.

A bit about Bethany: Bethany is a talented pianist and entertains the group with her piano renditions. Occasionally, she plays more than one tune in an evening to spare fellow cast members from going compeltely insane. When not tinkling on the ivorys, Beth is playing computer games, procrastinating a lot and seems to have an unhealthy obsession with David Tennant and John Barrowman!!

A bit about Bradley: Brad was a mere whipper-snapper when he joined Sultan and quickly made a name for himself. His portrayal of Buttons in the 2010 Pantomime, Cinderella, was 'spot-on' and his willingness to loose his trousers in 2009's Aladdin was truly sporting, if not a little disturbing! Brad loves association football, trampolining and his brother Perry, who also treads the boards a Sultan.

Joined: Chris? Occupation: Not sure!
Away from Sultan: Chris is a highly-trained dancer and is extremely demanding of both himself and fellow cast members when the tap shoes are on. Although he is a master at most forms of expressional movement, his forte lies in the 'Tiger Three-Step' and the 'Grapevine Shuffle'. Keep an eye on this one - the Bolshoi Ballet is calling! Chris' last perfromance was in Aladdin in 2009 and the stage and cast are yearning for his return. Chris - you'd look very fetching in an eye-patch!

He is known for eating well, staying thoroughly composed after consuming Jack Daniels and 'bubbles' and breaking valuable family heirlooms. He is currently studying to be a professional web designer. Colin first joined Sultan Theatre club when Kathryn Basford - his best friend at the time convinced him to come along - she is now his wife.

A bit about Dean: Dean is Sultan's resident acrobat and can perform all manner of tricks and moves which'll make you go "wow"! When Dean hasn't got his headphones in (he'd wear them on stage if he could get away with it!) he partakes in a spot of street dancing - and from what we've seen he's very good.

A bit about Jackie: Jackie was convinced to come along to Panto rehearsal by Jenni who was directing Cinderella at the time. Jackie was happily being inconspicuos in the chorus, until she was suddenly required to fill the shoes of Prince Charming. She was fab! Jackie is married, has a son called Lewis and is a David Soul fan. That's all we know so far - but she's only new!. We'll start digging a let you know more.

A bit about Jenni: Jenni joined Sultan when her Dad was director back in the mists of time. She quickly became the groups regular director, pausing occasionaly for a well earned rests while others braved the mantle. Jenny loves horses and owns her own - getting up at silly hours (even following aftershow parties) to go to the stables to shift hay about, preen her philly and do other horsey things only horsey people know about. Jenny has a chinchilla, a new dog and enjoys Eurovision, chinese food and can fall asleep in front of a film before it's even started.

A bit about Jim: When Jim joined Sultan Theatre group he was a member of the Navy and being sent to sea kept him away from the stage far too often - at least whenever he wasn't able to 'get out of it!!'. In 2010, Jim left the Navy and he is now a carer at a children's home in Southsea - a profession he loves and is very well suited to. Jim enjoys frequenting public houses, snoring (although denies this emphatically) and sitting in front of the TV wearing one sock, his dressing gown and a cowboy hat!

A bit about Jo: Jo joined Sultan as a naive young 12 year old and hasn't managed to stay away since. Her Dad has been a member since the Ark and so she was eager to follow in his footsteps. Fortunately, Jo's faithful bond to Sultan hasn't kept her from following her dream and she now gets involved in all manner of performance related activity for a living. She follow-spots at the Kings, produces shows, writes scripts and owns and runs the 'Dramatic Entrance Company', the 'Happy Birthday Company' and 'Our Crafts' - just look at what theatrical talent Sultan spawns.

A bit about Julie: Julie was introduced to Sultan Theatre in 2005, when she accompanied her son, Dean, to rehearsals for Christmas Cavalier. The buzz of panto rehearsals (or the bordom of hearing the same jokes night after night) convinved her that panto was not a spectator sport and she joined the year after for Dick Whittington. She's been a valued member of the group ever since. Away from Theatre, Julie eagerly follows the careers of her two sons Dean and Glenn who are both quite the 'artisistes'. Glenn tours with the Dutch National Circus - ooh er!

A bit about Mark: As well as appearances on stage, Mark has worked wonders for Sultan behind the scenes, fighting our corner and helping us with so many other things essential to keeping the group going. Work commitments and a longer commute saw his departure in 2009. We miss you Mark! Mark is happily married to his lovely wife Jenny (who has been our chief make-up technician for several shows) and he enjoys partying, being organised and, if his performance in Dick Whittington is anything to go by, wearing glittery outfits and camping it right up!

A bit about Perry: Perry is the life and soul of Sultan Theatre Group and brightens up any Panto rehearsal. Perry's crowning moment was his oscar worthy yawn when he played Sleepy in Sultan's 2008 Panto, Snow White. Another memorable slice of classic 'Perryness' was a theatre fancy dress party to which he wore a bikini top for the entire duration. Bold and daring you may think! Maybe - but he seemed to enjoy it a little too much for everyone's liking!!!

A bit about Ralph Don't mess with Ralph - if it happens in the Brunel building - Ralph knows about it! Ralph's mastermind speciality is Maths and Electrical Engineering, although don't be fooled by the 'heavy' subject matter - the dark horse once played bass guitar in a Soul and Blues band called the 'Innsect - go Ralph you old groover you! Ralph's been a lover of the thespian arts since school, way back in 1927, where he played King Arthur. There's now no stopping him and as well as Sultan - he moonlights as a member of Crofton Amateur Dramatics Society.

Randy is a tinkerer and can create any prop that requires a bit of circuitry, gadgetry or cleverness.

A bit about Stuart: Stuart is Sultan's biggest 'Rising Star' first winning our hearts over in Snow White when he mastered the art of hi-hoing and whistling while he worked! He shot to fame as the all powerful and mighty Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin in 2010. Loved by all the cast a crew, Stuart excerises precision timing, knows exactly where and when he and should be, and woe betide anyone who isn't ready with his footman's mace when he needs it. Stuart loves being an angel at Sultan and a little terror at home (according to his Mum, but no-one believes her!!!).

She knows what 'hawkweed' and 'convolvulus' looks like and can give you the correct defination on 'anachronisitc' and 'sempiternal' before you've even realised you don't know what they mean. Just call her Soogle! Sue joined Sultan with a long string of appearances in Naval Festivals and shows already under her belt, having previosuly been a member of naval groups that sadly no longer exist. Thank goodness for Sultan she didn't fade away with them and found us instead.

A bit about Taff: Sultan just isn't the same without Taff Wollaston. He always owned the stage, had precision comic timing and would regularly have the cast and the prompt in fits of shear panic as he strayed, unstoppably from the script and did his own thing! Taff left Sultan for Titchfield Theatre group in 2008 in search of a change of scenery (forgive the pun), taking his amazing stage talent with him. Taff, you are welcome back anytime!
